Summertime...

Well, I am back from my stellar southern vacation, where I saw Michael Phelps swim (Yay!!) and was attacked by a shitz zu on antidepressants (don't ask).

Now that I am refreshed and invigorated, I am ready to prepare for a very busy and very exciting Summer Reading Program: Be Creative at Your Library!

This year we have gotten very creative. In addition to our regular weekly story times for various age groups (3, 4, 5 year olds; kindergarten and 1st grade; 2nd to 5th grade), we are having weekly classes to learn sign language, crocheting, geocaching and how to be a clown! We have some special crafts planned to really get our creative juices flowing. There will be special performances by The Spoon Man and magician Jim Bush, as well as opportunities to learn about bees, bats and raptors!

We will be having all this fun, as well as reading, reading, reading. There will be our usual coloring sheets and activity pages for dinky prizes, weekly prize drawings and, or course, the Newbery Challenge with our end of the summer pizza party.

So, keep us in mind when planning your summer. Registration begins June 22nd.

See you then!
