Memoir Writing at Red Creek

I received the following e-mail from Allen Tompkins, the Director of the Red Creek Free Library and thought I should share it with everyone.
What an opportunity!

What's Your Story?
A Memoir Writing Workshop

A four week supportive, fun and free writing workshop series to help people get their family stories down on paper. Everyone has a tale to tell and the workshops will focus the participants on how to start and keep going.

The workshops will take place At the Red Creek Free Library from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on November 4th and 18th and from 10:00 AM to noon on December 2nd and 16th. No previous writing experience is needed.

The workshops will be facilitated by Susannah Risley, an award-winning fiction writer from Schenectady, NY. She has taught writing workshops across NYS in libraries, schools and senior centers for more than 10 years.

This event was funded in part by Poets & Writers, Inc. with public funds from New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.

For more information or to sign up for the workshops contact The Red Creek Free Library at 6817 Main Street Red Creek, NY 13143 (315) 754-6679
