Creepy & Freaky Friends

Last week was all about the darker side of our dreams.  Those things that go bump in the night.  Those things that make the hair on the back of our neck stand up a little straighter.  Those things that make us go "Ewwww!"

The Genesee Storytellers came on Tuesday and told us some scary stories and legends from around the world. There was the ghost who asked the pastor to find her murdered body in the basement and the gravedigger who stole the coins from the dead woman's eyes.   More than one of us slept with our lights on that night.

On Wednesday, we were visited by John Crocitto and his CroZoo reptiles and invertebrates.  For anyone who doesn't think an alligator snapping turtle is creepy looking, well, you should think again!

The best part of John's show is always when we get to actually touch his "friends"...except for the snapping turtle, of course.

 Oh, is a blue-tongued skink's tongue really blue?

More Summer Fun

Summer

Our summer program is under way and so far this week has been a great success!  We've had everyone's creative juices running.

Next week, it's more fun at story time, plus face painting and magic with Just Clowning Around!

July

July 7 -Woodworking and Painting

Wall Planter

Cost:  $15.00         Time:  10:00 a.m.

It's been rescheduled!!!

This special Saturday session will begin with plain wood but you will

go home with a beautiful painted wall planter!

 

 

July 9 - Summer Reading Program

Our summer program begins!  There's something for everyone!

 

July 18 - Magic Show and Face Painting

Time:  2:00 p.m.

Just Clowning Around will visit us. 

Jim will perform some great magic tricks while Cindy will use her skills to make our faces beautiful!

Appropriate for all ages.

 

July 24 - Night Shivers

Time:  6:30 p.m.

The Genesee Storytellers will present a urban legends and scary stories from around the world. 

This program is intended for middle and high schoolers. 

It is not for the faint of heart and is not appropriate for anyone under 10 years of age.

 

July 25 - Creepy, Freaky Friends

Time:  2:00 p.m.

Centipedes, millipedes, scorpions, oh, my!

CroZoo back by popular demand.  

Appropriate for any age that loves interesting creatures.

DREAM BIG - READ!!!

It all starts Monday............................

Come in and register for our Summer Reading Program.  Books, movies, music, dogs, crafts, special programs, and more! 

We have something for everyone, ages 3 to 99 years!

Unexpected Closing

The weather will be fine this weekend, so find something to do outside.................because we will be closed!

The Highway Department is taking advantage of the sunshine to pave our driveway and parking lot.  So, unfortunately the library will be closed both Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17.
