Last week Batphile, Liz Thompson, visited the Macedon Public Library and introduced us to The Mysterious World of Bats.







Liz was very informative and showed us slides of bats from around the world. Did you know that there are over 1,100 kinds of bats, but only three kinds are considered "vampires"?. None of them live in North America. So what's all the fuss about?

The kids had lots of questions, and we even had a few adults come on their own to learn about these fascinating creatures. Here, Jacob learns that with his weight and size he would need very long wings to fly like a bat.
