We have a quite a variety of fun events happening at the library in the next few weeks!
Let's start with the BOOK SALE! October 17, 18, 19 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) in the Community Room during our regular library hours. Thousands of books of all genres! DVDs, VHS, CDs and jigsaw puzzles, too! Special: $3.00 per bag all day Saturday!
IRIS PAPER FOLDING with Kathy Roberts on October 24 (Thursday) at 6:00 p.m. If you haven't tried this beautiful card making process you will be amazed at your own creativity! Cost is just $3.00 to cover supplies.
A grant from the Friends Endowment for the Macedon Public Library has made it possible for us to hold Saturday TRASH TO TREASURE ART WORKSHOPS. On October 26 they will be making ENVELOPE BOOKS from 10-noon. These wonderful little books will hold keepsakes, photos, etc. for gift-giving or remembering the holidays. There is a $3.00 fee to cover supplies.
Saturday, November 2, is ANTIQUES APPRAISAL DAY. In order to accommodate as many patrons as possible, there will be a strict appraisal limit of two (2) items per person, and the items must be small enough to be carried in by one (1) person. Registration is required. And thanks to a grant from the Friends Endowment for the Macedon Public Library, there will be no fee charged for these appraisals.
Every Thursday at 2 p.m. there is MAH JONG in the community room. Novices and experienced players are always welcome! Please leave word for Karen Yatteau at the library's front desk if you are interested in joining. There is always lots of laughter!
