Practice! Practice! Practice!
We practice our musical instruments before we perform in a recital. We go to sports practice with our teammates before “the big game.” So you should really consider taking a free practice SAT under simulated test conditions. Not only will a practice test introduce you to the types of questions you’ll encounter when you take the SAT, but the experience will also help you have less stress when you sit for the real exam.
The library is working with Chariot Learning to offer a free SAT exam for ages 15 and up during Spring Break week. The test will be held on Wednesday, April 11 from 9:45 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. Bring a #2 pencil, calculator, wristwatch, and a snack. Please call the library to register soon, as we can only take 40 students: 986-5932 (select option 3).
Important: a follow-up question and answer session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Parents and students are encouraged to attend together. Mike Bergin of Chariot Learning will discuss the importance of these tests in the college admissions process and how they are scored. Chariot Learning will score the SAT essays of the students who take the test on April 11 if their parents attend this free session.
The Macedon Public Library is working hard to increase library services and programs for tweens and teens. This initiative is being made possible by a grant from the Friends Endowment for the Macedon Public Library. Hope to see you there!
