Poem in Your Pocket Day!!

Thank you Karen Woodhouse, Pal-Mac Middle School librarian, for bringing to out attention that today was "Poem in Your Pocket Day".
With encouragement we have created the Poem Scavenger Hunt.  Come in, find the hidden word in eight poems scattered throughout the library, and unscramble the words to find the poem, Necessary Gardens.
Prizes are awarded and many people have enjoyed this mystery so far!

I don't know who has had more fun, the clerks or the patrons!!!!!

Let Your Voice Be Heard

We are planning to establish a Tween Interest Group or Teen Advisory Board composed of Macedon area students.  This group will have a chance to contribute ideas for library decisions that would affect their use of the library.

To make the library the best it can be for you, we need to hear your ideas.  What are you interested in?  What do your friends say?  We need your help and we're listening!!

Join us for a focus group discussion, Sunday, April 29, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Any student in grade 4 and above is invited.  Snacks will be served!

Poem in Your Pocket Day is Thursday, April 27!!

It's the day to walk around with a poem in your pocket and share it as many times as you can.
It is also the day that the Macedon Public Library is introducing the first ever "Poem Scavenger Hunt"!!

So, come in, find the "hidden" poem among the many poems scattered about the library and win a prize!!

Check at the front desk for directions and a worksheet.

ACT Practice Exam

The SAT Practice Exam this Wednesday went very well.  We had lots of students from many school districts come and see how they will perform when they take the actual exam.  It helped them feel comfortable with the format and also highlighted the areas they will need to work on to get the best scores possible.

In the same spirit we are currently taking registrations for the ACT Practice Exam offered on Friday, May 18, with a parent/student follow-up on Tuesday, May 22.  Please stop in or call us at 315-986-5932 x108.
