Daisy Troop Visit

Daisy Troop 448 braved the snowy elements Wednesday night and  came for a visit to the library.  I read them a story, talked about library rules and policies, and then we took a tour.  They were most interested in the Bullis Room and the Dolls from Around the World window display. But I hope they had as much fun as I did.

After our tour all the girls were presented with their own library cards.  So now we have even more readers!!

More Craft News

The beautiful weather put everyone in a great mood last week, and so our Paper Bag Scrapbooking class was filled with happy smiles and lots of creativity!  Everyone enjoyed making these simple books to keep a special memory in.

St. Patrick's Day Celebration

The kids and I celebrated St. Patrick's Day early, with wonderful Irish music performed by Dennie and Kathie Brunner.  After a song or two the kids lost all of their inhibitions and danced the rest of the performance away!

Thursday Crafts

Well, we had another full house last Thursday as two of our favorite groups shared the Community Room!

Linda Selbert was back for another painting class.  This time she tapped into our Irish side before St. Patrick's Day, teaching everyone how to paint shamrocks on a piece of slate.

They were joined by our regular Needle Arts group, who worked on and displayed a variety of their beautiful handiwork!

Remember, there is still room in some of our future classes.
Come in and check them out!!

Quilling and Other Crafts

Last week we had a full house for our Quilling craft class. As you can see, there was much concentration, but the results were fabulous!

Thank you Kathy Roberts for teaching us this old art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create all kinds of decorative designs.

There is still room in Kathy's class next Thursday, March 17th, where she will teach us all to make an adorable scrapbook out of brown paper lunch bags!  If you're interested come in and register, or give us a call at 315-986-5932!
