Come Join the Fun

Our Thursday Arts & Crafts Nights are still going strong. Last week we again had a combined quilting and woodworking group.


Tonight is open craft night, where anyone can bring any craft project they want to work on.






There is still plenty of room left for anyone interested in our "Fun with Pots", decorating clay pots class. Come in and sign-up, or call 315-986-5932 for more information.

Kid Stuff

We've had a lot of visitors in the last week. Friday night was a Lock-In for 12 lucky girl scouts who got to sleep in the library! There were games, movies , ice cream sundaes and just plain fun!







Then, our Wacky Wednesday group had a surprise visitor. Shauna Tevels was kind enough to bring Ronan, her hedgehog for the kids to pet and watch. We learned that hedgehogs sleep 20 hours a day, eat insects (including bees), and can't see very well so sniff everything to determine where they are. They also like to play a lot and are very curious, loving creatures. Thank you, Shauna and Ronan!

Fun With Pots

For the month of April our Thursday Craft Night will focus on gardening. On April 1 we will be having "Fun With Pots". We will be decorating clay pots in a variety of ways. There will be decoupaging with seed packets and seeds, painting, mosaics and using stones and buttons creatively.
The cost of the class is $1.00.

Bring your own clay pot so you can have the exact size that you want, or you may purchase one for us for an additional $1.00-$2.00.

Thursday Craft Night

Well, the big storm that wasn't made the roads just bad enough on Thursday night, February 25th, to have us cancel our crafts for the night. So, we doubled up last week with both quilting and woodworking. Sharing the community room was fun and gave everyone a chance to see what the others were working on.

The stool woodworking craft was a great success. Everyone had lots of fun and went home with a very useful and beautiful item. Some people even came back to make more!
