I have been remiss in my "New Book" postings, but I warned you that for me the summer is consumed with children: story times, dinky prizes, public performers, etc. But here are some highlights:
Fire and Ice by J.A. Jance
The Defector by Daniel Silva
Dying for Mercy by Mary Jane Clark
Guardian of Lies by Steve Martini
Rain Gods by James Lee Burke
The Devil's Punchbowl by Greg Iles
Dust to Dust by Heather Graham
Burn by Linda Howard
A Dream to Call My Own by Tracie Peterson
Black Hills by Nora Roberts
Come in and peruse our shelves. I know there are lots more (just ask the pages)!

Jefferson's Travels
Modge Podge
A great big Thank You goes to Kathy Henning for doing all the hard work in getting our Modge Podge craft together. I was "assisting" her (a very loose interpretation of the word) and forgot to take pictures. I know Kathy would not be upset by this, but I do regret not being able to show off some of the great artwork crafted by the kids.

Jefferson Travels
Jefferson Bear has continued his exploration of the library...............................
Adult Crocheting Class
We have received a grant from the Friends of the Macedon Public Library to implement "Thursday is Arts and Crafts Night at the Macedon Public Library". We will be offering several 3 week courses on different arts and crafts on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. and there will be a minimal fee for instructors and/or supplies.
Our first series of classes will be "Learn to Crochet", which will be held on July 16, July 23 and July 30. The fee is $10.00 for all three classes.
Please contact Jane or June for more information, or just come in and sign-up.
We look forward to seeing you there!!!

Summer Program Updates
Now that the summer program registration has been under way for two weeks, you will find that the summer program is pretty much all I will be writing about -- it tends to consume me.
So.......the sign-ups have been going very well, in some instances better than expected! Our story times will be packed, and most of our classes are full. However, there are still some spots left in our bigger classes, so come in and check it out.
The big excitement is that Jim Bush, magician extraordinaire, will be here on Wednesday, July 8th at 2:00 p.m. to entertain us all!
Jefferson Bear has been traveling all over our library, investigating some of the more interesting places and bonding with the public.

Here he is looking for some of his old friends in the yearbook section.
Emi and Molly Perdan were interested too.
